Beecause We Care 365 through AYNITY-Building a Sustainable Future

At ONAYA PERU, we’re passionate about giving back to the Earth and partnering with the community to care for people, animals, and the environment. This mission comes to life through Beecause We Care 365, a nonprofit organization based in Sahuayaco, Cusco, Peru, dedicated to environmental conservation, community empowerment, and sustainable development.

Our Mission: Coffee and Conservation

At the heart of Beecause We Care 365 is Bee Café Solidario, a program supporting local coffee farmers by improving coffee quality and promoting sustainable farming practices. Instead of expanding farmlands, we focus on increasing the value of coffee, connecting farmers to ethical markets, and preserving biodiversity.

Our Impact So Far:

Facilitated the transition of 17 local families to sustainable specialty coffee production while upholding agroforestry principles.
Connected farmers to markets in England, the U.S., and Canada.
Increased farmer incomes while promoting enviroment conservation.

By booking with us, joining our retreats, or participating in our volunteering programs, you directly contribute to expanding this initiative. Together, we can create sustainable livelihoods, protect the environment, and improve the quality of life for participating families.

Beyond Coffee: Our Complementary Programs

Bee for Native Plants, Wildlife, and Pets

Launched the region’s first community tree nursery, planting over 8,000 native trees to restore pollinator habitats and support local wildlife, including dogs and cats.

2. Bee for Youth
Educates and empowers local youth to adopt sustainable practices and create opportunities within their communities.

3. Bee for Bees
Focuses on conserving native Melipona bees by restoring their habitats, protecting these vital pollinators, and enhancing coffee farming and biodiversity.

Empowering the Community

The Sahuayaco region, rich in culture and biodiversity, faces challenges like tourism-driven land acquisition and environmental degradation. Beecause We Care 365 collaborates with local families,many led by women,to protect their culture while fostering economic opportunities.Women Empowerment:

Our philosophy reflects the collaborative spirit of a beehive, where every individual contributes to collective well-being. This approach builds a sustainable model that benefits the Sahuayaco region and inspires other communities facing similar challenges.

AYNITY by Beecause We Care 365

AYNITY embodies the spirit of communal collaboration, inspired by the Andean principle of ayni, where the community works together for mutual benefit. It unites all our programs under one shared vision: harmony between people and nature. From reforestation to youth education and animal welfare, AYNITY is the way we call Beecause We Care 365 in Spanish and identify with it.
